Transmission replacement 1984 Winniebago

Hello All,
My transmission just went out. I found a transmission online I already picked it up and going take out the the bad one put in the new one. Just curious if anyone has attempted this on there own as well. If you have and you have any tips I would really appreciate it. Have a great day and stay well.
Thank you

Did an R&R in a church parking lot, 6 hours from home, on my '04 F53 chassis with a 4R100 trans. Would have been nice to have power tools, did it all by hand.

Not complicated, plenty of room to work.

Tips:
WHEEL CHOCKS!!!
Trans is heavy, be prepared.
Plan on it pouring fluid, either when you are getting it out, or moving it around.
Do you have an EXACT replacement? Little differences can screw things up.
Did the old trans send debris into the cooler? Replacing it?
1984 you say. Consider hitting any rusty bolts with some penetrant a day or two in advance.

Good luck!

Update on transmission replacement

Hello,
After getting the transmission in I realized that the torque converter the guy gave me with the 400TH transmission I bought was not the the right torque converter. Does anyone have any suggestions on where I can find a torque converter?
Thank you!
