Jouney Headlights

We have a 2003 Journey 36'. Has anyone changed out their headlights for brighter ones? Our headlights are stock and just seem very dull. We also have fog lights under the headlights but they do not work. Is there a separate switch for those lights?
Any input is greatly appreciated.

My first thought might be to check if the headlight lens are cloudy from sunlight damage.

If the headlights on/off are controlled by a rotating dial, try (gently) pulling on it away from the dash, to see if that wakes up the foglamps. If you have the owner's manual for the chassis, that info should be in it somewhere, or it might be in the motorhome owner's manual.
Some soaps that contain citrus type additives, are often not recommended for use on headlight lens covers. They cause them to turn opaque with repeated use.

Fog lamp switch should be on left with other rocker switches and rear docking lights, headlights seem to be a pain to change no room ,do search. but yours is 2003 might not be the same as 2005

Our 01 Journey fog light switch is like Cataska explained, a rocker switch on dash. Our fog lights only come on during low beam. But then, I rarely drive at night.

I tried brighter bulbs and then realized that my lenses seemed a little cloudy. I ordered replacements and then noticed how bad they actually were when doing the comparison. Made a big difference when driving at night.

Aren't those in 2003 just standard 7 inch sealed beam bulbs? If so you can upgrade to just about any higher end 7 inch Hi/Low Sealed Beam Headlight Bulb. Be sure to get the ones with the glass lens as the ones with the plastic lens tend to cloud up over time.

The Sylvania Xtravision have been pretty good in the past and are about $17 each at places like Advance Auto Parts.

Note that you can also upgrade to some seal beam style LEDs however they tend to be quite expensive and many are only lawful for offroad use or just fog light bulbs. Jeep enthusiasts appear to be very fond of them.
