Help, kwikee/digitech Slideout Code 13, wont open

Hi,

2007 Itasca Sunova 35J
Bedroom Slideout kwikee/digitech
Code 13 upon open
Control panel will open/operate once I manually crank out the Slideout 2-3”
Closing no issues

Code13 is no response from front actuator

Has anyone had this issue? Am I looking at a new motor and actuator? Or could the Acme nut or Screw Gear be stripped?

Looking at access, it appears the motor is only reachable by Removing the gas tank.

What I would like to do is repair/replace myself, but I haven’t found any examples to copy YouTube/Repair Manuals/User Forums…

Any help on direction of what to do next would be appreciated.

Thanks in advance.

-Jon

As in most repairs the motor and big parts are rarely the main problem but look to power feed and connections to verify they are good before going to the big stuff.
Only time the motor gets replaced first is when you take it to the shotgun repair folks who want to change them first and then move to finding the real problem!
If the motor is bad it will often show up by testing the wiring going to that motor.
But it is a real job to get too things on most and it varies in each RV, so that often leaves it being a real search for the specific type you have.

Right, I should check the connectors, wondering if swapping slide in/out connections would be a good test. Also I should probably look at lubricants for the arms, I’m sure there is a thread here I can find for that maintenance item.

Thanks for your advice!
