Engine Code Reader

We have a 2018 Winnie View on a MB Sprinter chassis.

I am looking for a reasonably priced meter that will read the engine codes for my MB diesel. Just want to be able to determine that if there is a problem I can intelegently converse with the service people or maybe fix it myself. Any recommendations would be appreciated.
