Chassis Question

Hi All,

I was unfortunate to drive over a drop cloth on the freeway and it got stuck in my driveline. I did not see anything broken and continued my 1200-mile trip.

After getting back I notice a loose hose underneath my chassis. Pictures attached.

Does anyone know what this black box is?

Appreciate any suggestions.

Looks like the engine's fuel evap canisters to me. Surprised you haven't gotten a Check Engine light on the dash.

Could you provide what chassis you have what year, what model rv, etc?

Are you sure the drop cloth did this? Or did you just find this after the incident and conflate the two things.

Looks like the evaporative emissions canister on a late-model E-series chassis:

Well, that helps because everyone is giving you answers based on it being a Ford F53 chassis, not a Workhorse.

Do us all a favor and list you year, model and floorplan for your RV.

Thanks

Better yet, go to the User CP in the toolbar and set up a signature block similar to creativepart's and mine. That way the necessary info will appear in every post.

Thanks, Mark.

Creativepart:

Could this link be posted as a "sticky" along with the other Winnebago and HWH information? This is valuable information to have at our fingertips.

Thank you all. This does look like the vapor canister after looking at the workhorse W22 parts.

Unless I am looking at the posts via my phone ... why don't I see signatures when browsing on my phone?
