Can you operate the Minnie Winnie 24F slide by hand?

I read the manual and was able to use the control panel to retract the slide by pressing and holding the reset button until both IN and OUT lights blinked. This method will only retract the slide not extend it. The manual says to do it by hand to insert the t-handle wrench in the hole in the storage compartment. Well the 24f does not have a storage compartment with the holes, guess that is the problem with a manual that fits many different sizes. Has anyone actually ever done this on a 24f? Parts for these seem to be almost impossible to get so I'd like to be able to at least do it by hand until I can try and locate parts.

The plastic covers at the bottom corners of each end of the slide cover the ends of the slide mechanisms but are almost impossible to remove. I have done hydralic ones and rack and pinion ones manually but there is no bolt on either front or rear motor to turn to move the slide.

Hi 89sandman,
Guessing that the year of your Minnie Winnie is 2004, and looking at the Owner's Manual for 2004, I see on page 2-15 discussion about cutting an "X" in the carpet under the dinette to access the manual cranking bolt. I do not see any discussion about manually extending the slide-out.
