So I’m paying a $500+ fee for what.. a plastic plate? Whats the subscription for? Whats the app for?
This looks like a startup with some silly idea and no place to sell it

I looked at the website and still am wondering why I would pay for something like this? What am I missing about this product? Our DMV fees are already crazy high here in CA without paying for an electric license plate with a subscription fee.

It is all about EGO and self importance! Can't be any other reason. $99 PER YEAR subscription rate on top of already outrageous registration fees???? Crazy.

Payoffs
My guess is they're making a lot of political payoffs hoping to get their technology to be required on all vehicles. I'm of the opinion that we shouldn't have license plates that identify vehicles, just some sort of tax compliance sticker that would verify the owner has paid required fees.

Huuuuuuuhhh????
Here in CA I already renew my registration online using my laptop!! .... But what about the CA smog test that is required every so many years?? (Or are these "digital" license plates intended for only electric vehicles?)

Well since they let all of the prisoners out, they don't have anyone to make plates...….

A quote from the text on the web page:
It’s designed to let you make a statement while keeping you informed.
So what is the "statement"? "I have so much money so I am willing to pay extra just to show how cool I am"?

What you show in exclamation marks might be the case. However the more accurate description probably is "I can qualify for so much debt now that I am able to sign up for even more just to show how cool I am".
If so, that's the case way too much with going into debt being so easy - and not just in CA and AZ, either.

There are probably less expensive ways of accomplishing this but my parents would have found this useful when I started driving in 1972.

When I started driving, it was way past my parents setting the boundaries and they would have felt total failures if they needed electronics to get that done!

Pay no attention to my ribbing. Is just piling on for the sake of piling on. If you sent a picture we might be able to identify with the concept better.

This is a 2-year old thread for a product that some company is trying to get people to buy. The concept just seems to bring out the best in some folks.

Yeah... I particularly got a great laugh after reading this one. And it's kind of nice to laugh a little when we spend so much time helping other people enjoy their RV. So why not help them enjoy their day?
No disrespects to the OP.
...But $799 for a license plate? Really? Why not? Bazos and Branson are soon to become astronauts for the same type of special bragging rights; in a league of their own. And I say go for it if you can afford it!

I take that back. I just found that was $799/yr!
How do you keep something like that from getting stolen?
