New to Minnie Winnie 1700bh Solar Question

Hi everyone.new to Winnebago’s not RVing. Has anyone added to the current solar system it came with? We like to go boondocking.

Hi Suebsh,
If you have a FLX, search the FLX threads.
If you have a plain vanilla 1700bh, adding solar is common to all Micro Minnies.
If it’s a late model, half the effort is done because there will be a MC4 gland on the roof with wiring that leads to the curbside front bulkhead in the pass-thru. I won’t Re-post everything here on how to add solar, because there’s so much info in the micro Minnie threads. However, if you’re just starting out and prefer an easy and inexpensive way to add some solar, consider adding portable panel solution. For about $150, A 100w portable with on-board charge controller requires no installation at all. Just alligator clip leads to the battery terminal.
