New Member. Screen Room for Hike 100 H1316FB

My wife and I just purchased a Hike 100 H1316FB and are wanting to purchase a screen room for the awning for additional space when we take our grandkids along. Anyone purchased a 8’x10’ screen room? Trying to get some feedback before pulling the trigger on a $700.00 purchase. Any thoughts or suggestions especially if you bought one yourself. Thank you!

Greetings Remitso,
Assuming that the primary reason for the screen room is to keep the mosquitoes away, another thing I have heard folks do is to set-up a fan. Apparently, mosquitoes cannot land on you in a light breeze.
Welcome to the forum.

If it was me I would purchase a totally separate screened room. Awnings in my opinion are great for sun and rain, but they do not like wind of any sort. When I put out my awning I always use tie downs to support from the wind. Also when it rains you want the awning to be at an angle to help with the run off.
With the size of your riq I totally understand why you want to do it.

Good Luck and enjoy the grandkids

I have had both in the past. We ended up preferring a stand alone screen room to one that attaches to the awning. The only one that we preferred the attached screen room on was our pop-up which has a bag style awning.
