Can not help on a brand for either. I have standard pop up toaster that when not in use fits in the above cabinet.
Counter space is the problem with almost any item. I would not be able to use a small toaster oven just due to counter and storage space. I even had to down size the coffee maker due to counter space.
As much as it may hurt DW may have to settle for just a pop up toaster.

We carry a small toaster oven that stores in a lower cabinet for travel. We put it on the counter next to the coffee maker (smallest Keurig) after arriving someplace for more than one night. We don’t carry a toaster and don’t have one at home either.

Perhaps a talking toaster would be a good choice?

To my knowledge toasters & toaster ovens do not come in travel sizes but I can tell you the best toaster I ever had (Toastmaster circa 1970's) came from a thrift store (Savers) and was priced at two dollars. Always worked and way outlasted anything new that came before or since.
We had a under the counter Black & Decker toaster oven from the 80's in our kitchen before we remodeled. That was pretty small and might work for you.

We have a 20+ year old Panasonic NBG100P. Its small (ish) and has infrared heating elements . so it isn't using a lot of power , nor does the outside get overly hot . Perfect toast every time.

Always looked for a toaster with a cool outside, and wide enough slots for 1/2 bagels. Black'n Decker & Kichen Aide have been good for us. But it doesn't get much use anymore.
We got the Ninja Foodie Grill, and can't be happier, it works great for everything, steaks, roasts, toast, pizza, reheating anything, even did the thanksgiving turkey (breast) last year. It is compact enough to just fit on the counter and under the cabinets.

This might work for you.
I have a Hamilton Beach Toastation. It is slightly bigger than a toaster. It has a long slot for a push down toaster. But it also has a small toaster oven. It's big enough for a sandwich, or two pieces of pizza.
Mine is about 5 years old. I hope it is still made. It cost about $35

Toaster oven
We use the Panasonic NB-G110P. It's nice and small, powerful and fits into a small space. I mounted it under one of our upper cabinets on drawer slides because it gets very hot on the top. We pull it out, use it, and let it cool before sliding it back.

Can't tell you the model but we have a small Hamilton Beach toaster oven that is shaped so that it can cook a frozen pizza. Use it for toast to so no toaster. We have a Class C and store it above the cab for travel and it fits next to the range on the counter when we use it.

Does anybody remember the gas stove toaster that sat on the burner and you flip to the other side when the desired shade of toasted? I would like to buy one. I do have a porcelain percolator gas stove coffee pot and its so nice because you don't need flters or electricity to make coffee. Anyone else ???

Toaster question
We are interested in this thread because every time we use our toaster it sets off the smoke alarm. In spite of fans, windows open, etc. Is a small toaster oven less apt to do that?
