Does coleman mach 8 have a start relay?

Hi, trying to install the softstartrv on a 2017 era 70x n ... downloaded the instructions for my specific model BUT...it has 2 variations on the instal.... 1. With start relay n 2. Without start relay.... any one know which?

Here's some pics of my unit.... i ve seen videos for mach 8 install but every year the ac unit is made differently with diff variations of capacitor locations n terminal connections so for a non hvac guy, im not 100% sure how to connect those 5 wires although i have general concept ....

Please advise,

( called help line n no answers so far....)

The run capacitor is the round silver device to the left of the terminal block in your last picture. That looks like the start device below the terminal block.

I guess I don't have a start relay but there is a device called pctr or ptcr that I had do remove....

With regards to hard start capacitor, does it work to allow you to start AC with less power than that drawn during starting/surge ? Hard yart cap basically holds reserve energy to aid in starting but will it hold enough to supply the initial surge current ?

That appears to be the PTCR below the electrical box. Your wiring schematic picture shows the PTCR near the bottom of the picture within the terminal block drawing.
I chose hard-start caps instead of soft-start units because hard-start was OEM on my A/C unit.
Then there is cost, my hard-start caps cost about $12 ea.; soft-start units are about $350 ea.
