Gas can OK for 1991 Itasca Spirit IT320RB?

My apologies if this has been covered in another place or should be elsewhere. I gave it a good try, but.....
At 13 mpg, the gas tank should be bigger than 17 gallons imho. I've found a 9 gallon portable tank - Scepter Marine 08667 Rectangular Fuel Tank - 9 Gallon, Red https://a.co/d/9QbHDLN - that's rated for gasoline. I sure hope that pasted bit turns into a link. Can I carry extra gas? Kept where? Is this an appropriate can? Are there other options that wouldn't break my budget (think small)?

Thanks for being such a supportive group,

Lemonade

Hi Lemonade,
That nine gallon can designed for marine is vented, and so stored within a sealed compartment it would out-gas vapors. I would recommend two bumper-mounted 5-gallon cans, so the fumes remain outside of the vehicle, and it wouldn't be too heavy to pour into your main gasoline tank. I see Jeeps with these types of tanks on the back fairly often.
On an interesting side-note, when Mason Williams wrote the song linked below, he originally entitled it Classical Gasoline. The recording studio had the main mix level for it written on tape abbreviated as Classical Gas., and so the name change became history.
Thanks, Eagle5
