I have learned so much from this forum that I would like to show some of the modifications/ upgrades that I did on my 2022 View 24D.
First is the spring assist that someone else suggested. Works perfect if you order the 10", 10 pound lift on Amazon.
Second is painting the buttons on the thermostat with enamel paint. It is so much easier to see in poor lighting.
Third was adding a removable support for the bottom of the bathroom door. While driving on bumpy roads, our track tore out. I added 7 larger screws to support the track but the support block that slides in will take all of the stress off the track while driving. It also makes the door not rattle when driving.
Forth, I had an upholstery shop make a pair of custom padded arm rests that makes driving so much more pleasant. They are held on with velcro and made with Mercedes vinyl to match.
I hope someone will find these useful on their coach.
Hi Bryan,
Those four improvements are great to see; nice job! I appreciate seeing this sort of information from which others can also benefit. In all of the Threads I have read, nobody has ever handled a "hot button issue" with such quiet dignity & grace (ha-ha-ha.)
Sorry; bad joke.
Thanks, Eagle5
