Riverbend - If you really wanted to reset your service required light for your initial trips, you have the option of doing it yourself. It is pretty straightforward:

When you change your oil at 4K, the dealer will do it again to keep things in synch.

Cheers,
Thanks Don. I saw this and thought about it, but the reminder doesn't really bother me that much. My hesitancy to reset it is also because I don't want to start the clock for the B service. Seems like it might just be easier to pretend it's not there for a couple thousand miles and then start fresh.

I also can't find any correlation between the service warning and a mysterious beep coming from the dash every 50 seconds with the engine off. The owner's manual is also pretty vague on several things, and it's not exactly what I would call light reading.

If anything changing that oil out is a good idea. I did mine at that mileage to check for break-in metal debris.
