I think they will be an option not standard equipment. It says Sumo Springs will be "offered" on the gas coaches. I find it strange that Winnebago would make Sumos available on the the new F53 chassis. From what I have heard, the bigger sway bars on the new chassis pretty much take care of the sway issues. Also, the new chassis comes with bump stops that look a lot like Sumo-lites. To me, it would make more sense for Winnebago to offer a rear track bar on the new coaches.

Would make even more sense to have Ford just install one from the factory! What vehicle that is placed atop the chassis wouldn't benefit from one?

Absolutely. Just thought that Winnebago was lower hanging fruit.

It would make even more sense if Ford had upgraded the front suspension from solid axle leaf springs to independent suspension with coil springs at the same time they totally revised the power train.

Companies make money from accessories. Henry Ford learned that very early.

I would update the suspension with air bags all around and just double the cost to the manufacturers. I’m sure the increased cost would not be an issue with anyone. My experience with other owners is that they are willing to pay higher costs for higher quality. Because of that fact I’ve never understood why there is such an effort to cut costs. We all have plenty of dough, let’s just spend it.

I’m hoping they offer Liquid Springs as an option on Winnebago Class A gassers. I have yet to hear of a complaint with these, I have not been too happy with my sumos as they stiffened the ride too much. Liquid Springs cost much more but on a new gas coach would probably add less than 10% to the total. Fleet wood is offering them on all 4 corners and Tiffin offer them for the rear suspension.
