Upgrading Minnie Winnie TV

Hi,
I am new to this forum and am looking for help that I can't find an answer to online. I just bought a 2017 Minnie Winnie 25B and found out that the 28 inch Sylvania TV is broken.

Instead of getting another 28inch TV, I am wondering if anyone has upgraded their TV to a bigger size but still using the same/existing swivel mount? I would really love to find something slightly bigger, maybe even as big as a 42 inch that I could mount on the same bracket, but anything larger than 28 should be better to huddle around for a movie during a storm.

If anyone has done this, please share some pics of the TV/mount setup and a the TV model number.

Thanks!

Alex

Do you know if it's a 12v TV or a 110v TV operated on an inverter. Knowing that would make a huge difference in deciding on this swap. 12v TVs are much more limited in sizes and availability.

Great question, I honestly don't know and don't know how to check, but here is the exact TV on Insignia's website, it has specs but does not provide the details you have asked about.

That TV is a 110v powered Television. So, it can be replaced with any other common TV that will fit the space.

Most TV mounts are standardized, but Winnebago has been known to create unique TV mounts. Even then they connect up to the standard mounts that are built into every TV.

Your choices are pretty much dependent on space and weight. Mounts are engineered for TVs of specific weight groupings.

I have the exact TV in my 2016 25B. I cannot see the existing mounting bracket supporting a larger TV. The existing TV barely turns into the room for someone sitting in the booth. In fact we bring one of our camp chairs in at night and sit it in front of the stove which allows one person in the chair and one person on the couch. If the TV was any larger part of it would be hidden behind the cabinet. You might be able to find a longer arm on a TV mount and swap it out.

Please don't let my wife know it's possible to watch TV on battery power!
