OEM Voyager Rear View Camera trigger wire?

Just a couple of weeks ago, I chimed in on a question posited by Morich regarding mini dash cams that included a reference to our OEM Voyager VOM-7SN (75N). Jinxed us. It still works fine in DRIVE, but, suddenly, when we shift to REVERSE, the dash monitor screen goes blank. Suspect a trigger wire issue.

The wiring diagram is not too helpful. Doesn't show a trigger wire. Any suggestions appreciated.

ALTERNATIVELY, should likely view this as an opportunity to deep six that old CRT monitor and upgrade to a color flat screen. If I go that route, we want it to mount inside the existing dash opening. Looks like that means a 7in screen, max. Thoughts?

Looking for something bueno, bonito y barato (good, pretty and cheap). Oh, and simple. Don't want multiple cameras - just one constant on to keep an eye on the dinghy and assist backing up. Don't want split screens or a micro phone. Just turn ignition, switch system on, stays on 'til we turn the ignition switch off. Experienced suggestions again appreciated.
