Need size of battery to inverter cables for Micro Minnie FLX

I have a 2023 2108DS FLX and am having issues with my Xantrex 3000W inverter tripping out on overload when I try to run my Truma AC on battery power. When talking with Xantrex Tech Support I found that Xantrex recommends 4/0 cables from the battery to the inverter for the 3000W inverter. My Micro Minnie FLX has 2/0 cables from the battery to the inverter.

Asking others with Micro Minnie FLX travel trailers (any floorplan) to please look to see what size cables you have between the battery and the inverter. It should be easy to see right on the cables with a mirror and flashlight. Ideally, I would like to know your cable size and build date. Trying to see if my 2/0 cables are the standard Micro Minnie spec or if somehow 2/0 was used instead of 4/0 on the assembly line for my trailer.

Thanks in advance.

Hi dfw62,
Yes, I concur with your calculation:
3,000 watts ÷ 12 VDC = 250 Amps

4/0 wire is required.
However you ended-up with 2/0 wire, it looks like you should replace it with the correct size.

Eagle5,

Thanks for the response. From what I have been able to find on-line it looks like Winnebago specs out 2/0 wire. Agree it should be 4/0. Looking for a fellow owner to confirm that 2/0 was used in another build besides mine.
