[moderator edit] Inverters can draw up to 2+ amps by themselves and should be turned off when not in use, unless you don't care and have plenty of battery and charging capacity to spare. Anything that has electronic components will draw power. Plus, they are about 88-90% efficient, don't forget to add another 10-12% to your load calculations or check directly using a shunt-type battery monitoring system. Once you have a battery monitoring system, you will be able to find your "parasitic loads", which for me amounts to about .65 amps, not including the inverter. That's 2.1 amps.
