GPS Recommendation

Hello, I have a Rand McNally OD7RV and have had nothing but problems with it. The tablet will not hold a charge even when plugged in and it frequently loses connection with satellite. after multiple calls and non existent support from RM I'm looking for recommendations for a replacement unit. Looking for a dash mounted unit with a screen around 8" or so. TIA

Hi John,
I like the Garmin stuff:
RV 890
I do not own this model, but I imagine it would fit the bill.

I just recently bought this Garmin RV 780 from Amazon, but I haven't had a chance to get it out on the road yet. I like what I've seen so far though.

I have had the Garmin RV760 since 2014 and have used it in three different Motor Homes, I love it. Make sure you get a LMT (Lifetime Maps and Traffic) and I love the Voice Command. The only think mine is missing is the ability to set your normal driving speed. Since it uses the posted speed limit and I am usually below that the arrival time is too optimistic.

I own the Garmin 785, and you already have enough Garmin votes to take a look. I bought the dash friction mount (Garmin) so I could have the unit close enough to touch the screen while driving. That friction mount works better than I imagined it could. It is excellent and worth a look if you decide to go with Garmin.

I have a Garmin RV1090 and we love it. Even though we have a Garmin built into the MH it was very small and titled towards me. I like my DW to see and help especially in congestion and this one is perfect. Nice and big, easy to setup trips and we mounted on the Dashboard so both can see it. Plus b/c it's magnetic mount we can take it off when ever we want. So to us the RV1090 is perfect.
