2008 View Stairs will not extend

We took the RV in for service on the furnace and when we got it home the stairs would not extend. The stairs did work for them.
There seems to be a wire hanging down under the stairs too. Any ideas?

Since the steps are really hard to keep from flying out, I suspect you have lost power to them, either wires disconnected or breakers tripped.

What does this wire look like? Is it just a loop of wire slack hanging down or is it the end of a wire with possibly a plug on the end?

Does the wire have an ID stamped on the edge?

Winnebago does stamp their wires to ID them using this code list:
https://www.winnebago.com/Files/File...ical_guide.pdf

If you find wire codes stamped on them like this:

If you find the code, use the list to find if they go to the step or look for a plug with four pins as this drawing shows.

Wires KA and WH are both +12 vdc but may be powered at different times depending on ignition on, etc.
If you don't find the wire is unplugged, it may be that one or both breakers which feed power to the steps are tripped.

Those two breakers will be in the "chassis electrical box" and the two on the right side as shown.

See if that gets it going and let us know? This is a first thought and there may be other problems if that is not correct.
Finding/fixing trouble fro a distance is like shooting arrows in the dark at times. One we don't quite know which way to shoot and second we don't know if we hit anything until somebody yells!
