V-10 Ford idle fluctuation?

I have a 2019 Minnie Winnie, V-10 Ford. It has 10k miles on it. It idles at 1,000 rpms but it fluctuates between 1,000 and 1,200 every 5 seconds or so. Now and then it seams to stumble at an idle. It also seams to surge when pulling a long hill at about 3,500. Is this normal? Or should I take it to a shop? Thanks, Allen

Hi Kacordy,
I have the exact same motorhome, and mine does not do that. It sounds like a sensor has become unplugged. I would get an engine control computer code reading, or take it into a Ford Dealership which works on motorhomes. That sort of problem is covered by Ford for three years.
Please let us know what you find out.
Thanks, Eagle5

Could be a lot of things.
Bad fuel? Might have clogged up the fuel filter?
Bad plug wires or plug capacitors? Can you see or hear any arcing when the idle fluctuates?
Or what Eagle5 suggested. Somethings not connected right.
Has it set any CELs?
Get it diagnosed, as suggested, before throwing money at our guesses.

Ok, I will take it in for a diagnostic test. What is CELs? Is that the engine light? The engine light has not come on. Thanks for the information, Allen

CEL = check engine light
If no, then it might be harder to diagnose, but the Ford service/repair folks should be able to help, if you can find one that will look at motorhomes. Not all do.
