Sealant/Caulk for hole through sidewall

I have a 2004 Journey and the door awning recently broke and was stuck open. After much research, I was able to get the part and repair it, but before I reinstall I need to fill some voids. There is a hole in the sidewall where the 12-volt wires for the door awning go into the RV and run to the switch. The hole was caulked from the factory. It is white and is very hard. There is no flexibility at all. I'm not sure if that's because it is so old or if it's the type of caulk or sealant used. I could not find this sealant or caulk listed in the Winnebago sealant list for that year. The poor factory job also left a gap which may explain some water damage I found inside the RV on the wall near the floor below this spot. It will be nearly impossible to clean out the old stuff as it is so hard and the hole is not very large, so I need something that will bond with the old.

Any ideas on what it might be or a good replacement?

If it's a factory caulk it's best to assume it's silicone based. It could be Manus Bond 75 or similar. I'd use NuFlex 311, Hengs 311, ProFlex or even an outdoor Silicone like Gorilla or GE from Home Depot. Just not Dicor.

If there was no factory caulking or if you could remove 100% of it, then Dicor would be fine. But if it's factory and you can't completely remove the old caulking then you should stick to a silicone caulking product.

Spray silicone remover: https://dynastybath.com/product/re-m...esive-remover/
To fill the hole with something hard, use fiberglass epoxy resin colored to match your RV.
Silicone sealant is the cheapest product for RV mfgrs. to use, so they do. There's reason it's the cheapest sealant on the shelf. IMO it does not adhere well in the long-term.
