Colaw and Visone are the two RV Salvage yards. I’ve found them good for biger parts, like engines, fiberglass caps, etc but they don’t seem to bother with small parts. But you could always give them a try.

You are correct its a bad manufacturing design (not sure why they thought this would work in the long haul, but maybe that was their plan all along ) Here are some photos of the missing and regaled bracket to hold the adjustment screw in place. Anyone know where I can find one of these?? TIA

That part would be fairly easy to make.

I'd at least do the hood hinges and wire tie them.
As to finding the part, Lichtsinn RV might be able to help, or recently there was a post naming two RV salvage yards - don't remember the name but you could probably Goggle them.

Thanks UpinSmoke. I did the same as I had some 3M left over. I will add the wire today. Just never know while we bounce down the road. Contacted Lichtsinn and they quoted me $45+shipping and the bracket did not come with the adjustment screw. Thought it was a bit much, I will search salvage yards. Thanks

Thank you Upinsmoke. The 3M 5200 worked. I just got back from a 2000 mile trip and they are still holding strong, and we were on some pretty rutted roads (not by choice). Adding the wire would give me extra piece of mind. The bracket priced from Lichtsinn was $48+shipping, and that did not include the adjustment screw. I CHECKED THE SALVAGE YARDS ALSO, NO CIGAR. I may just have to pay the $. Thanks
