2014 Vista 26HE Check Engine Light

I have a 2014 Vista 26 HE that started throwing a CEL for a misfire on the number 8 Cylinder - Does the cowling inside the Motorhome come off to access the plugs and such ? I dont see any hold down screws or latches of any kind . Im assuming these engines have coil pack so I would like to replace the plug and coil on that cylinder but have to get to it first !

Did you get a big bag of info with the RV and in it there should be a large allen key?

Owners manual on page 3-11 has the best info. If not on hand, this will get you to it as far better info than we can write up!

Help me lol !

Does anyone with the same year / model have any idea where the allen wrench goes - I spent the last hour out there with a magnet and an awl poking the carpet around the area the manual says it should be and cant find anything, It says its either on the floor directly behind the center of the doghouse or on the doghouse itself looking to be a few inches back for the rear edge in the center - I poked and prodded the whole area with no luck !

I have a 2017 and the hole is off center to the right about one inch off the floor on the front edge of the cover. Feel for a slight indentation.. It is not very easy to find with the shag in the way. You are going to want to go slow.

I have a 2013 Itasca 26HE (sister to your Vista) and as the above post mentions, it's in the front near the floor. It is difficult to find, but it is there. The attached diagram is for your model... https://catalog3d.winnebagoind.com/2014/15676903.htm

If you haven't found it yet - this is where mine is located and I suspect yours is also. Further, I believe there is a small screw in each side from very near the floor.

Good luck!
