Well, that sounds awkward!
So let's get some info going and maybe something can be done. Sometimes little details can change the picture a whole bunch so let me ask a few questions?

Which slide and what kind of results do you get? Do you hear sounds that might say it is trying to work but nothing happens? You do mean the locking mechanics, not the slide itself won't move?

What's the experience level with this RV? Any chance of just missing turning the right switch somewhere or done it so many times, you really know it's right? Hate to ask that but we all tend to get sloppy at times! Something about being human, I think!

There are some things we can get around to checking, depending on what you have found, but no need to chase things for one slide if it is only the other!

If no reaction at all when trying to unlock, have you checked breakers/ fuses for luck?
We don't get the best electrical info on the newer year (after 2010!) but we might drum up something there.

It the lock/unlock on the long slide n passenger side. When you hit the switch it jus sounds like it make about a half revolution and stops hard. Tried toggling the switch back and forth but with same results. We had been staying in the RV for about 7 weeks while getting house ready to move in. I closed up the slides and locked it like always and drove 40 miles to house. Went to open slides and this happened. I have never had any issue with the locking mechanism. It almost sounds like something came loose but I don’t know anything about the locking mechanism or where to look. Of course I have an idea by the sounds but don’t know how to go about finding the gear or rod that makes the lock work. The motor is fine.

Okay! Gotlots ofgood info on that post and we have some pretty amazing info posted online by Winnebago. At least we can get an idea or two of how things work and where.

Parts catalog here is interactive and we can choose which parts to look at:
https://catalog3d.winnebagoind.com/2012/177535.htm

A bit of time to learn how to "drive" it but great for looking close at things without having to tear things apart!
Sorting down to your RV, then looking for the right rear slide we can look at the slideout and finally get to the latch!
You may have quicker luck if you already know where to look but I found this set of pictures.

First is view from inside looking toward the outside and from above. Maybe to helplocate general area as it looks above a window? Maybe center of slide?

Second is fromside to show hook, controlled by arm of mechanism?

Third from below looking out again.

Four is detail of mounting screw holes and looks like a small motor driving a shaft through a gearbox that then moves the hook above?

So the big question for you is what to do now!!
Does a spray of lube from above seem possible as an easier thing?
Do you have to remove some of the interior cover to get to the motor, etc to free some sticking parts? I assume no access panel!

Sorry, I'm no good at the blood, sweat, and tears part!
Hope it gives you some good ideas to work on from here.

EDIT:
Sorry pics did not post in correct order as I numbered above. I think you can get the ideas?

Sorry I can’t be of more help, but I’d like to add, that we’ve seen quite a few slide lock failure posts over the years. So many in fact that I stopped using mine. I never had any trouble with mine but it seems they fail often enough that it can create a big issue. So far this has not caused any issues with the slide while traveling. Fingers crossed!

I have loosened the four bolts on the motor, then the slide lock releases. For some reason it binds up. I know other posts have better and permanent solutions.
