Verifying... Towing 2022/23 Minnie 2500FL with Half Ton Chevy?

Hello-
We are looking to purchase a 22 or 23 2500 FL. Just trying to confirm that my math is solid. That a 2023 Silverado 1500 High Country w/ the v6 Duramax diesel will have no problems with towing and tongue weight.

Any recommendations on WDH hitches would also be great.

New world for us as we have had 5th wheels and diesel pushers in the past.

TIA!

Personally, I'd want a 2500 to tow a 28' TT with a GVWR of 8800 lbs.

The dealer will tell you that you can tow it with a Yugo.

This online towing calculator will accurately and impartially match a tow vehicle and trailer.

I tow a 2529RG (similar to yours, a little lighter tongue weight) with my 2023 Silverado 1500 6.2L V8 Gas. I use an Anderson hitch.

The truck handles the trailer just fine, both from a power and control standpoint. I've owned both the 1500 and the 2500 Silverado. The 2500 would more easily handle the job as others have suggested. That said, the 1500 is more than up to the task. In the end I chose the 1500 because 90% of the time we are not towing. I like the ride vs the 2500, and very much prefer the transfer case setup on the 1500 for the way we use it.

We tow mostly in Texas, relatively flat to moderate hilly conditions, and are using the trailer only a couple of times per year.

Private Message me if you want more details on my setup and towing experiences.

Sure, like to hear more about your set up. BTW, we have not yet purchased, we like the layout w/ some models that have the electric fireplace which does keep it comfortable. We had one in our previous MH.
