Best route from Portland to Bend OR

I am wondering which route is best from Portland to Bend, OR. I’m looking for the flattest and fastest, and not necessarily scenic.

You should be fine taking the 26 out of Gresham to the 97 south. Not a bad road at all. Check for any fire activity.

Thanks! I’ll try that next time as I’m already here. I took 84 to 97 and it was also a really good route, though longer than 26.
