Just a little longer in length, that is it, everything else is identical. It does have a fan on it that runs now and then, the 1000 did not have that fan.

Sounds like it is bad if it passes AC and you got 12vdc at the inverter. When you get the used one installed just do the remote panel first as it will save you some labor if that is the only thing...
