Had friend with an odor problem once and it turned out to be diaphragm in the regulator was leaking ever so little. Open your tank valve again and check the vent hole on the side of the regulator....

We had a 6500 watt onan propane powered generator...

We had a 6500 watt onan propane powered generator for twelve years and it never failed us once.It was on a 98 discovery. No special maintenance was ever done to it , just oil and filter changes.
