Solar Lights?

We camp host and use solar lights along the edge of the pathway/stairway for safety. They are quite low light and since they cut themselves off during the night, we don't worry about forgetting. At...

Mounting Blue Boy on rear of 2009 Aspect

We don't really have a bumper per se on the Aspect so no need to buy the bumper mount. How have others managed to do this? I have my workaround ladder attached to my rear RV ladder, but seems that...

Hoover Linx

Love this vacuum! Have had mine for years. Purchased because I hated dragging the big one upstairs. Used it on carpet and hardwood. Then put it in the RV. This summer, I even used it to clean...

Overkill for our rig

We had the central in our Fifth Wheel. I agree that the hose was too heavy and too cumbersome. I purchased a cordless Hoover and love it! Even use it at home for the downstairs so I don't have to...

Mice

We also heard the scurrying and assumed it came from squirrels playing on roof. NOT! We finally realized what was going on when we needed to turn on AC as it got warmer weather. What we saw was...

We loved ours, but it also died. We got a single serve pot that takes up very little space and works well for us. The one shown above would be great for my at home kitchen but still looks large...

Mice deterrents

We did have mice get into our AC ducts and we had to get an exterminator. We had the rig searched and sealed (found a tiny, tiny crack that we believe was their entry).

After that, we used the...

Yes to toad

The only time we did not tow a car was when we had a pull behind, and thus had the truck to get around. That said, I cannot imagine being stranded without a ride or having to depend on rentals. We...

Mice are a good bet since they can get into very small places. Good thing is, if they don't find anything they can use they can also find there way out. Since the door seems to be a sealed...

Looking at European Loungers

We too have that issue. The couple who bought it (we are 2nd owners) replaced couch with office-type upright chairs that swivel and go back a bit, but ironically the arms are so wide that we have to...

Annual memberships only

We have been camping for over 30 years, and I am also the wagonmaster for our camping club. Both our club members and ourselves have memberships in several RV organizations, so I will share a little...

We do fine without one

We had the Diesel Pusher MH and it pulled mountains, but the weight made it slow and it was expensive to maintain. Our Class C has pulled mountains out west this past year without a hiccup. We...

Not the brand, but the year

Interestingly, our last unit was a Rockwood and we now have a Winnebago. Our results were so parallel to yours, but exactly opposite -- we got mice in the Rockwood (A/C vents) and love the...

A typical day

We went cross country last year -- 6 months, and planned all stops (one way) before leaving. I hate waiting until the last minute for a campground. Nothing wrong with it, but I don't want to spend...

We took 6 months last year to travel West, and made all reservations in advance. For us, it was just less stressful. Also, we don't boondock...as we get older, we just aren't as comfortable with...

We have seen that requirement in some workcamper ads (why many ask for a photo of you and your rig), and in a few long-term lease parks. For most overnight stays, they just ask us size and model. ...

Loved our Rand McNally

Though we no longer need the low clearance, etc. after downsizing to a small Class C, we used the Rand McNally RV-specific model when we had our diesel pusher. Large screen was great. Accuracy was...

Ditto the toaster oven. Hate the convection microwave (no oven in our rig). Toaster oven, instant pot, and electric frying pan and I can do anything!

Boondockers Welcome

The Boondockers set up is for overnight only, not for any length of time. Primary purpose is to avoid having to do the Walmart thing for a number of reasons.

Hello!

We are Danny and Brenda, long-time RVers, now retired and recently downsized to our 31' Aspect. So far, it is our favorite of the rigs we have had over the past 30 years (TTs, 5ers and...
