Just my two cents but I carry a cheap Harbor Freight pancake compressor...works great, Just have to fire up the generator.

My guess is you may have a soleniod issue...there may be a separate solenoid for the generator. I'm always amazed at the crazy wiring in Motorhomes. Mine took a lot of work to sort out the house...

It's actually our ranch truck, short box, extended cab. Kind of beat up but runs and drives great.
Our Vectra is a gasser so on some of the big passes the wife...

I'm embarrassed to say that I ran the fuel down...

I'm embarrassed to say that I ran the fuel down on our Vectra and we had no generator.

I always top her off if we're boondocking.
