New owners/new members
We have just purchased a 2012 Winnebego View 24G from a friend, replacing our 1992 Fleetwood Flair 26Y. We started motor homing in a Dodge Chinook 18+ in 1972, and have covered over 450,000 miles since then, so we are not newcomers to RVing, but we are new to Winnebago. I've studied much of the information that came with the coach, but would love to get further insight from those who have used their View (or its colleagues). I am new to the Sprinter and have found that my wife feels that the suspension is soggy and that the coach wallows. We live in coastal Central California. We've read about some Sprinter suspension upgrades available in Oregon, and since we expect to be there in late March, are thinking about having some upgrade options installed. Does that make sense? And, what about rattles? Even though this rig has less than 19,000 miles on it, my former coach, with 231,000, was dramatically quieter. I'm open to suggestions if someone has the time and interest in directing me on what to do. I have already found the coach door is not adjusted tightly and am thinking about either replacing the material around the door with foam rubber insullation. The microwave rattles and there is squeak between the kitchen cabinets coach wall, and is there a way to keep the shower handle in place, or is it best just to leave it on the shower floor when driving? You'd not think that we are happy with it, but overall it's not bad. I'd just like to make it better. Regards. RicM
