Another new Minnie2529 owner!

Hi Everyone!
I am new to this forum and I’m looking forward to meeting others and sharing our experiences and knowledge. I traded in my Airstream Flying Cloud when I found this Winnebago trailer. It is everything my dog and I need to continue our journeying I want to add a rear mounted mobility scooter carrier to the existing hitch receiver. Has anyone done this and if so, what equipment did you use? Or maybe you could point me to a thread that has the info already.
I’m looking forward to meeting and making friends on this forum…and beyond……

Hi Wingz,

We were looking very hard at an AS FC25, but went for the 2529 as well. Internal storage space ( and cost) was a significant issue. You know the ol’ axiom, “ if momma ain’t happy ….”. We pick ours up Thursday and we are looking forward to it. Will put it to test Nov-Jan on a 6000 mile, multi state journey.

Would love to hear your level of satisfaction so far with your unit!

Hi Wingz,
I am not aware of any threads on this forum which discuss a rear mounted mobility scooter carrier. Our little search box does point to some outside links for same, such as this one:

Welcome to the forum.

One more thing ...
What kind of dog do you have? I have a sled dog named Grace, and I always travel with her.

Got my trailer today

Hey Puff Daddy picked up my new trailer late today! Feeling a bit overwhelmed and probably a good nights sleep will probably fix that. I cant wait to get it set up tomorrow and just check it out for myself. Ill check in later. How are you feeling about yours?

Hi Wingz,

Picked our unit up Friday, so haven't had a lot of time in it yet. Nor a "shakedown " trip yet. First impressions:
- lots of inside storage space
- Am going to enjoy the large holding tanks compared to my Micro Minnie
- Happy how it pulls co.pared to my micro minnie...actually very little difference.
- Perplexed why the two grey tanks have two different drain locations, which will require moving the trailer to align the drain with the termination point.
- under storage space is OK, the micro actually had larger openings.
- slide out gear mechanism is substantially heavier built vs the micro. Our micro slide out failed in the first year.
- Initial gas mileage attained by TV is better than expected when pulling the larger trailer.

Our shakedown is in couple weeks, followed by a 6500 mile, three month journey through numerous southern states. Will know a lot more then!
