Water Leak - How to Use the Warranty

We’ve had our 2019 Adventurer since November of last year. We bought it new, so it’s under warranty. Like a lot of others, we’re just sitting in a campground waiting out the virus. Last night we had a huge thunderstorm (4-6 inches). This morning we found water pooled on the dash on the drivers side. There’s no obvious water marks on the ceiling, so I figure it came in around the windshield somewhere. We can’t afford for it to go into an authorized dealer somewhere and sit for weeks, as we’re living in it. I’ve not had any warranty repair work done, so I’m not sure the best way to get this fixed without ending up in a hotel somewhere. Can I get a mobile tech out here to fix it under warranty? I know I need to call in to get authorization, but I’m not sure what I should ask for? Any suggestions from someone who’s been through this before would be appreciated.

It might have come in from the front cap radius. There is a section of the front cap that flows back around the sides of the RV.

There are known leaks there that come in and run forward behind the cabinets over the dashboard.

If you have a ladder, check there first. You may be able to fix it yourself and save a lot of hassle with wait times and warranty work. Of course, if you want it fixed under warranty that's understandable - it's just full of hassle.

This image is the drivers side. So the front of the RV is on the left. That spot I circled is where the leaks come from.

There is a guy on YouTube that fixes a lot of Winnebago Roof leask right there.

Thanks very much for the info. I’ll get up there tomorrow and take a look at it.

I would suggest putting a 4" wide Eternabond seal on that seam, and the one in the back too. Scrape off a bit of the caulking if there's too much but if the tape sticks to either side of the seam without being on any of the caulking, that's good too so it can just be covered. The Eternabond won't stick to most caulking but sticks like crazy to roofing products. And the

Put mine on in March of '16 and it's still holding well. Also put it on my other RV back in '06 with great results too. Plus it's made to prevent leaks in RV roofs. Amazon carries it along with many others. I've not had to do hardly any maintenance to the Ebond applications over 16 years of use. Occasionally though.

I've also added it to the roof edge hopefully to prevent the roof from blowing off in a strong wind. Here's my articles about adding the tape to front, back, and side seams, there's no ads or anything: Roof and Roof items...

The other common water entrance is from the running lights outside on the front endcap. Run a bead of clear silicon around them.
