Flex Bed Quality

Hello!

Iím brand new here and to the RV world in general. Nice to meet everyone!

My husband and I are looking at purchasing a Winnie, on the shorter side for convenience. I see the Flex Bed in a few that we are looking at. We would never have a need for the twins and would only need it ďput togetherĒ into one large bed.

Iím looking for honest reviews and feedback on the quality of using the flex bed in the single bed mode (for lack of knowledge of the correct term). Is it comfortable? Do you feel the separations? Should we just get a model that has a single/solid bed if we know were never going to use the twins?

I appreciate any feedback or advice. Thank you all!

Welcome.

Not sure I can help a whole lot with the split beds. I'm not sure I'd be comfortable on one myself. I'd also check the length of those beds too. We lived in our Vista 32K for nearly 3 years with a "short" queen bed and if I had it to do over again I'd opt for at least a full queen bed (I'm 6'1") as my feet generally hang off the bottom.

We have the flex bed system in our current van (Boldt) and our previous van (ERA). We find it very comfortable to sleep on. Leave it in the twin mode during the day and for taking short rest breaks. Twin mode allows us to access cabinets and storage without climbing over the bed all the time. Easily converts to full size bed for nighttime sleeping. Never notice the separations.
