My experience is that Tampa show prices allow you to get an idea what a particular model can be bought for with good negotiation skills on the part of the buyer, but it's already priced there so you can get it for that price without the stress of negotiation.
Models that are in low supply generally don't have great discounts even at the Tampa show. Models that are in good supply will be able to be purchased for a few percent over dealer cost.
The possible discount off MSRP on new units in oversupply is large right now. For example the Olathe Kansas RV Center Dealership is advertising new in stock Class As from Winnebago and Coachman for 30% off from MSRP right now.
