Covid 19 tracking.

I found this on another thread. Interesting.

Hmmmm! Not sure what this has to do with Winnies or RVing. Maybe you could check out the hospital near where you plan to camp. If the ICU bed availability is very low because it is full of very sick Covid patients, maybe you should stay away.

It should be relevant as we are a group known for traveling but it is also like most of the response.
Way too little and way too late and not likely to change anything at all. Compare it to the info we are getting about where to get a shot?
Nothing being done at the top, so nothing getting done at the bottom!

A specific forum for this very issue was created almost a year ago. The OP put it in the right place. Just skip it if you aren’t interested.

When I see the governor of Texas on TV talking about what a wonderful job is being done to get vaccine to everybody there seems to be a major disconnect with what I find when I check with the local providers like this:

COVID-19 Update
1/14/21- COVID-19 Vaccine Update:
We encourage all ARC patients and other community members to use any option available to obtain your first dose of vaccine from any approved entity offering it. Healthcare organizations have not been designated as vaccination hubs and at this time, ARC does not expect to receive any new first dose vaccine supplies in the near future.

HEB?
H-E-B has requested more COVID-19 vaccine from the state of Texas. Once we have vaccine, eligible customers can sign up using our scheduler below to receive a COVID-19 vaccine at no cost.

Walgreen's?
The COVID-19 vaccine is on the way. As pharmacy experts, this is what we train for. We're ready to deliver vaccinations safely in accordance with CDC guidelines.

St. David's hospital?
Following guidance from the CDC, the initial vaccine rollout will be focused on healthcare personnel. At this time, we are not providing vaccinations to the community. St. David's HealthCare continues to focus its vaccination efforts on Phase 1A healthcare workers, including physicians, clinical and support staff, and first responders.

For now, it is too early in the process to know when more vaccines will be approved or when we may have additional guidance on when vaccines will be available to our patients and community. View the latest frequently asked questions about vaccination for COVID-19.

If you qualify under Group 1b, and if you have decided to get the vaccine once available, you may want to pre-register at the location most convenient for you.

So who's what's up in your area? Our area is a total bust and no vaccine is available at any point within one hundred miles is the only response can get!

It is really strange how it is being distributed and assigned.

We were notified in December by our medical provider to sign up for a date and time on the web. We chose Jan 4th at 11:10 a.m. and 11:20 a.m. so we could go together. Everything went as planned. We now are scheduled to received the second shot on Feb 1st. We are in the 1B group.

My son is a first responder as a dispatcher and several of the officers have come down with the virus. None in their department has received the vaccine and that is just 15 miles up the road from us.

My DIL's folks live in the Buffalo NY area. The are also 1B. She went on-llne and signed them up but it will be March.

Strange indeed.

In speaking to the others in our group who are all 1B, the response seems to be just a total waste of time as it has to have the same info entered each time which is tedious and then we get a message that we are approved but go to the area to schedule and try first at 25 miles and move through until we have reached the hundred mile limit and none show any appointments available but we see on TV and the net about they are giving shots to other groups of people because they had them thawed and did not want to waste it!
One fellow who is close to dying anyway is extremely worried and went to sit for 6 hours but could not get it done because he was not on the schedule!

Austin Regional clinic was telling us they would e-mail when they got the vaccine but now they are told they will not be getting any.
Yet there is a 37 th Street Pharmacy who list a group of UT students as employees and they seem to be giving shots but we would have to pay a "fee" is we were able to get on their schedule! But the person we spoke to could not tell us what the fee would be and would not take our names!

I think the odds are better at the casino!
