Circulating Fan for Basent Air

Hi,

In California and the temp is rising and my circulation fan in the RV is not working and therefore my AC will not work. Last night The air temp was cool so I just went to turn on the circulating fan and it took a long time but it finally started. My wife turned it off during the night when it got chilly. Went to turn on the fan today and nothing happens. I Put the thermostat to AC position and it was trying to start but I think it won’t when the circulating fan won’t start. Any help would be appreciated.

Circulating fan for basement AC

I place a request yesterday and no one has replied. Not sure if I did something wrong or placed my request in the wrong place. Would appreciate a reply if there is anyone out there who knows about basement AC.

Year and model number of the RV would be nice.

Are both circuit breakers on and not tripped for the A/C?

You could have a start/run capacitor that is bad for the inside air blower.

Here's a link to the service manual that has troubleshooting flow charts that should help you isolate the problem. Even if your's is a different model, they're all pretty similar, so this should still work:

There's no substitute for step-by-step troubleshooting. Although a "shotgun" approach often works, it's just as, or more, likely to miss something.

You'll need a multimeter. If you don't have one, it doesn't need to be fancy, an inexpensive one will be adequate.

Good luck.
