Basement AC

Good afternoon, I have a 2001 adventurer with the basement ac. It blows cold and the outside fan runs when using the generator but when hooked up to ac power the fan runs for about 20 seconds then cuts off, I’ve already replaced the power cord any help would be greatly appreciated.

Hopefully you just have a lose connection in your ATS.

With the power disconnected, open the box and tighten down the lugs. There is a torque setting for this, but if you have lose lugs you will know it and a quarter turn may be necessary to restore your shore power service.

I don't know if you have a Paralax ATS-5070, but if you do the picture below will be helpful.

What source are you plugging into for shore power, 15A, 20A, 30A or 50A? And, are you using an extension cord?

It's possible you're not able to draw enough power. Mine will run on one compressor on my 20A service at home but not both, and that's with a large gauge, 30A marine extension cord.

Then that shouldn't be a problem as long as you're not running anything else of any significant wattage.
