View/Navion Missing Drain Pipe Strap

Our 2020 Winnebago View was missing the supporting strap for the waste water pipes. I'd heard of these pipes falling off, so I temporarily secured the assembly with a ratchet strap.

I sent pics showing the pipe assembly was not supported to Winnebago Customer Service and they sent the missing strap and ring.

The two parts arrived quickly, but still needed to buy a 3/8-16 bolt and two nuts.

I bent the ring holder around the pipe, and discovered the strap is too short and doesn't fit to any attachment point, so I made one from 3/4" strapping.

Once I had all the holes lined up, it went together quickly. I don't have to worry about loosing the pipe while going down the road.

Hi Barney556180,
Very nice write-up! This sort of documented repair is good to have for others.
Welcome to the forum.

Nice job, my Via did not come with any support for the pipes but I added some using large conduit hangers and steel cables. What made me do it was years ago I had a Lance camper with no support on the black drain pipe. The repeated motion of opening and closing it eventually loosened it up at the rubber clamp on the tank without my knowledge. One day I went to pull the valve open and the whole thing fell off and all the black water came out in about 2 seconds. Fortunately my arm was the only thing that got drenched. I remember that incident every time I open a waste tank valve.
