Ed,

As far as I know, the motor-aid is always installed at the factory. I've had several Winnie products, class "C" and class "A", and never had to hook up anything. I suspect maybe something failed in the system and a former owner elected to disconnect it rather than repair it.

Almost a year ago when we got home with our new MH a friend came over to view. He spotted 2 wires hanging down under the nose. After a few weeks and photos to Winnie, they were identified as the wires for the keyless door entry. Only problem was that the 04 Jrny didn't have keyless locks as a standard feature or as an option. Apparently they used the wiring harness for an Itasca Meridian (which had the feature as standard equipment). Perhaps it is something similar on your MH.

Ed,

I may have misled you or misunderstood you. I didn't mean to imply that it was standard on all units. I just meant, if it was there, it would be hooked up at the factory.

Winnie has used the motor aid since at least 1970. Every coach I have had has worked. The simple test is - is your house water heated after driving for a period of time?

thanks all. But let me be more blunt . I was under the rig doing some work and could not help but to see two dead ended lines with heater hose dubled over on them . I have looked at the hotwater heater and there was no sine that this was ever hooked up just was thinking it would be nice to see if I could do it Thanks Ed

It may be a possibility that the tank has been replaced with a standard tank and the lines were connected to bypass the heater. If your coach was equiped from the factory it should have a heater under the bed. I had a 96 Winnebago and if I remember the motor aid was optional.
