Black tank vacuum breaker leaking

We have a leak coming from the vacuum breaker check valve on our 05 Meridian 36G, whenever we try and flush out the black tank. We’ve located the breaker valve behind the wood panel, behind the toilet under the cabinet. My question is, how do we access this to replace it? It seems impossible to access from the outside cargo area, and the only thing we can think of is to try and remove the wood paneling behind the toilet. I’m not sure how to go about doing that without damaging the wood panel though. Is there any other access point for this valve? I’ve scoured the internet and can’t find anything. Thanks!

You know the solution already, make a small door in the paneling; but, FWIW, I'd call Lichtsenn Motors and ask them, they are the largest Winnebago dealer in the country and across the road from the factory. They'll also have a new one in stock at a good price.
When you lookup the plumbing diagram for your specific MH on the Winnebago website it will show that vacuum breaker location.

We've visited in a rig and year like yours, and just took a look at your original brochure to refresh our memory. It's either go in behind the toilet or (with the slide out) behind whichever dining layout you have.

On our 2007 34SE, there is a water hammer vent in the wall between the fridge and toilet (don't think about it) I accessed the vent by removing the cabinet above the toilet, which revealed how to remove the wall trim and panel. Would say eazypeazy but it wasn't.

FWIW, our tank flush vacuum breaker is dead in the corner under the vanity. Took a lot of cabinet disassembly and a well greased double jointed octopus to turn wrenches. Would have helped to have been at fighting weight too.

The leaking is likely the poppet (only moving part) gasket. I contacted Swan Industries in Oregon directly (from valve body info). No parts, but they did send a complete new brass valve for about $20 incl shipping (three years ago)

Way out on a limb here but have you looked at the plumbing and parts diagrams to spot where this is located and look for alternates for getting to it?

On this age group we don't get the nice new interactive drawings but simple line stuff. But I am amazed at the quality of the drawings for the accurate pictures they give us.
So if you have not looked, perhaps a look might give some ideas?

I have no idea of the exact setup but it appears the flushing setup may have a cutout in the floor nearby where the pipes go up to the valve? I often use the plumbing as well as the parts drawings as they each give the same info but in different forms which can help if I add the two together!

Scroll to supply lines and then sheet 1 of 5 and look for detail D to check if this might be an option? Also a different detail view on sheet 4 may add some bits of info?

Click this snip for better view or go direct for the big story?

Under floor with holding tank not shown?

This may be easier for you to spot when looking at the RV but it looks like this second snip is turned 180 degrees? First has outer wall to right but second has it to the left side of picture? Likely you can't see it from underneath but I have found several RV that have a loose board section under cabinets which doesn't show up at all unless I really look hard for it.

Wishing for luck says there might be a cutout as drawn here?

Thank you for this! I will have to see if that cutout is accessible. By the diagram, it looks to be either right under or right behind the toilet base. Thanks for your input!

Location unknown!
But I have found this sort of opening under the floor inside base cabinets if there happens to be one near that location, it may be hard to spot as there were no handles, fasteners, etc. to grab or spot. Just the loose cutout, dropped own into the hole ?
The first I found was shear luck as I was trying to drill a hole up to run a wire and the floor panel lifted instead of me drilling through it!

Failed to give parts catalog info. Maybe a different look for location?

Stool backs to outside wall? Is there cabinet just to left and forward a bit?

Looks like holding tank just below so no access from below?
