I broke my spout in the tub portion of the shower. Can anyone tell me how to get to it and repair as it is between the wall.

Unless there is a access panel or way to get to it you will have to remove the wall panel, is where the backside of the spout in a hall way

I have the same model. On mine it look slike there is a removable panel under the mirror on the kitchen side. I haven't tried removing it yet, but was going to try in the near future to replace faucet and spout.

Hi John,
Thanks for the help. I have hopes that the panel will remove without damaging anyhting..I had the same conclusion but I have no choice as my spout is broken and I need to give it a try.

First remove the little mirror mounts, lift the mirror straight up and out. That will remove the mirror. When the mirror is removed the panel of wainscoting can be pushed out and removed. All of your plumbing is now exposed.

Thanks so much Joe. I was a little sceptical about pushing out the panel but I will gladly do it. Thanks so much.

Thanks Joe, I will be replacing my faucet and valve soon. Is the shower head elbow also exposed?

I cant seem to remove the panel. It appears to be nailed to the border right above the panel. The bottom looks like some play in the panel but the floor is blocking that from moving out also. Any other ways to get this panel out?
Thanks

The trim strip needs to be pried off. Be careful and you can replace it back into the same holes the nails came out of. Once the trim is off, the panel just pushes out from the inside. Replace in reverse, hoping the trim nails will go back into the same holes, if not, you will have to pound them back in and fill the old holes.
As for the shower head, that is a different story. If you are so lucky as to not need to replace the block that comes off the pex tubing, then the process is rather simple. Just unscrew the pipe on the inside of the shower, and replace with new shower head and down pipe. If you have to replace the connector block on the pex, you will have to take the plate off on the inside of the shower, two screws I believe. Once that is done you will have to work the pex, from the mirror side, down to an area where you can disconnect it from the pex, replace it, and then work it back up into place, screw it back to the studs, replace the plate, then put your new shower head and down pipe on. It is all rather simple, but it is a bugger to work that pex down to replace the block, it just doesn't bend easily in small spaces.
Good luck.

My problem with the shower head is that if I screw it in tight enough to not leak it points in the wrong direction. No amount of teflon tape helps tighten it in the right position.

My suggestion in that situation would be to first use a short piece of threaded pipe to screw into the block. Then use a coupler to attach your down pipe. Doing this will make the entire pipe longer and give you some options to the direction the down pipe points. That or just replace the down pipe. They sell them in several lengths, I believe they also have flexible down pipes.
