OK, This item came in and I installed it today. It works great and is no fuss. It's already mated by the factory so there's no install at all. Just plug it in. 
I ran the DVD Player using it for over an hour and they were not even warm to the touch. I don't see a heat problem at all.
One note, it does not include the two USB power ports that it takes to power the two of them so you might want to order them as well.
