2005 Journey 39F ABS light blinks 8 times then stops

The ABS light started blinking today when I started the coach up. We got home from a trip to Oklahoma last weekend and did not have any issues with the light coming on. It blinks 8 times and then stops for a moment and starts up again. I'm hoping someone has the info on what the 8 blinks mean? Maybe it will point me to a particular wheel or sensor/module? Any help is appreciated.

The information that I have points to a problem with the left rear wheel sensor. Workhorse states that the blink code is two digits. The light will flash the first digit pause and then flash the second digit. There was only two combinations of flashes that added up to 8 and they were both problems with the left rear wheel sensor.

A SAE code was also listed, but I think that you need some diagnostic software to pull that code.

IF this information that I have is correct, look for a broken wire at the left rear sensor. Also, the sensor maybe too far away from the tooth wheel to pick up the signal. Push it closer until it touches.

This came from a 2006 Workhouse manual.

air gap between reluctor ring and sensor should be between 0.1" and 0.156" If the sensor rubs against the reluctor ring both will be damaged.

Anyone know if the above Workhorse info would be relevant for the OP's Freightliner chassis?
