I like Ready Brake's system. I have the brake system with a Blue Ox tow bar. The towbar came with my MH but, if I were starting from scratch I'd go for Ready Brake's Ready Brute
Elite II that combines the tow bar and braking system.
Ready Brake's braking system is 100% mechanical and doesn't rely on any electricity, electronics or pneumatics. There's nothing to put into or remove from the toad when you hook up or unhook. They're not as well known as some brands but those that own them tend to love them. For the most part, the negative forum comments tend to be speculation by those that own other brands. The engineer in me likes the simplicity of the design. I haven't priced things recently but they've usually been less expensive than the competition (Ready Brake, RVI, etc.).
