Reupholstery of 2002 Minnie Winnie Jacknknife sofa

We just bought a 2002 Minnie Winnie Class C which is in very good condition. We would like to reupholster the jackknife couch so it looks more modern and matches the new color scheme of our rig. Does anyone have an experience and/or suggestions on how to do this?

First big part is to admit or adjust expectations! That sofa was put together by fairly low paid folks, likely in some place where skills have to be developed on the job.
So are you willing to do the same?

If you take the time to study the way the sofa is put together, it will show up that a lot of the trick is learning how to hide the ugly parts we can't avoid.
We don't want to look at seams, so we place them where they are out of sight between two pillows, etc.
Much of the rest is being able to choose a fabric that you can sew with the equipment you have on hand and tack or stable to the wood frame.
Take a good look at how they have folded the corners and where they put seams to best hide them and then apply those same tricks to the bigger project when you feel ready.

It's much like learning to fry an egg? Not hard but with some tricks to learn.
Maybe a good place to start if you have never done a rebuild of anything, would be to pick up a small item from some free place and tear it down to see how they are put together?

Ok I just reuphostered my dinette cushions. This site is incredible it even lays out your material and tells you how much to buy. Its called Sailrite.

They have a site that is free and you can make any shape, size, etc with their calculators as well as their videos.
