Wind noise
We have a 2015 Sightseer 33C with serious wind noise from the drivers window. I’ve checked all the rubber seals and they look good but there are some opening along the outside bottom of the window assembly that are covered with plastic pieces. A few of the covers are missing. Could that cause significant wind noise? Other possible causes? Thanks

Yup. Those are weep hole covers covering, uh, weep holes. The weep holes are slots that drain rain in the outside window tracks and condensation from the inside tracks outside so that the water doesn't cause problems inside.
Good luck finding replacements. I finally covered our weep holes with black electrical tape with a bump in the middle to allow drainage.
Don't just tape them off, water's gotta drain, somehow...

Got "some" info for the 2014 but not able to get this part for the 2015, perhaps that a call to Winnebago to verify this is the correct part for your year?
Note that there are two different numbers depending on the build date for your specific RV.
Hope it at least gives a place to start!

Thank you
Thank you so much for your replies. Just to confirm, are these missing covers a likely cause of significant wind noise? Thanks so much!

Even one missing cover sounds like a partially open window.
Buy new covers. They come in drivers side and passengers side. So be sure to get the ones you need.
You can cover the weep holes temporarily with shipping tape until you get the covers. But they need to not be blocked indefinitely.

Point might be to be aware that there seems to be a different number for the newer versus the older model even in the 2014 I listed so checking to see how that may change for your year and serial number may save some grief on ordering if it is not possible to go by a dealer and actually see it fit.
As easy as they are to lose, I'm guessing dealers may know what's up right away without doing the part numberlooking. I'm missing several myself.

Where is the weep hole located on the windows? We have the same issue.

Weep holes are at the "base" of the front most side windows - ones located just after the windshield.
On my 2017 Vista there are 4 per side. Somehow in side winds with NO covers they pick up ALOT of noise - certainly annoying.

A strip of black electrical tape works well until you can get new covers. Just remember to take them off when you get home so the Windows can drain properly.

What do the covers look like and where do you purchase them?

Se-Gi 6162.02 Right Hand Window Weephole Cover https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00PWYHP16..._E5QvFbB0J6GYZ
I don’t know who has them in stock.
The above is a passenger side (right side). It a slightly different part number for drivers side (left side).

Here’s what the weep holes look like when the cover is missing:

Weep Holes
Thank you so much! I will order a set of eight when we get back. It should be a much quieter ride.

Just use tape over the holes until then.

I wonder how a small deflector at the leading edge of the holes would work as opposed to a cover that encloses them. I would think it would disrupt the airflow enough to solve the problem. A small piece of plastic or other suitable material and removable adhesive (hot glue?) should work as a test.

I have done that for now and have ordered new ones from Lichtsinn RV. They should be here when we return. They are so inexpensive that I decided to replace all eight. Small price for a big return on being quieter.

I find it worthwhile to add a dab of some form of adhesive as they are easy to knock out while washing and not something you really notice until you drive.

Darlene, after your drive home, let us know how the tape worked to reduce the wind noise.
