Sightseer/Dolly Brakes

Recently purchased 2010 Master Tow Dolly. Does anyone know if the 2004 Winnebago Sightseer (Workhorse) is prewired for an electric brake controller (assuming I need one) all the way to the rear connector. What/where do I need to look for under the dash. Also any product/source recommendations are appreciated.
Thanks in advance for any input.

Our 2005 Sunova (sister to Sightseer) did NOT have brake prewire. There is a 6 pin connector at the hitch for wiring lights in the towed vech or dolly. I'm not sure if that could be modified in some way to work....

Thanks Indy Itasca. I called Winnebago today & asked about the prewire. The tech. indicated that he did not think that prewiring began until 2006 models.
I guess I will have to come up with my own solution, I was hoping that someone allready had.

My 1999 F-53 was prewired, it is part of the chassis wiring and there was a connector under the dash to plug in a pigtail from the brake controller manufacturer.

It appears there is a blue wire taped to the wiring harness on the steering column. Check out this post in the Workhorse Forum, Trailer Brake Wiring, do a search for trailer wiring in the Workhorse Forum and you will find more.

My new 2004 Sightseer 30B was NOT prewired for trailer brakes. I installed a new 7-pin connector and new brake control wire from back to front. I connected the other signals from the existing 6-pin connector. Also had to wire power to the controller. Took quite a few hours of work in total.

Hi Art D.
Thank you for your input. I had called Winnebago & they informed me that, that model year was not prewired. I did exactly what you did. New 7 pin, ran the blue wire to the back, used the existing wires from the 6 pin (on mine I had 1 white & all the others were yellow) had to figure those out. Picked up the hot (black) from one of the aux power lugs below the fuse panel under the hood & the red from the cold side of the brake switch, & secured the ground to the ground under the dash. Connector checks out, turn, brake, running lights ok. Brakes hum when pedal is activated, & brake sound varies when controller is cycled manualy.

Thanks again for your input.
